Since K. Michelle has came on the music scene in 2009 she has always let it be known about her story through her music. With the airing of the new reality show of VH1′s Love & Hip Hop: ATLANTA which she is a cast member of,  her story has been brought to light on a bigger scale and has grabbed the attention of many viewers. K. Michelle has always been an advocate for women both in their adolescents and adulthood because she is still growing to become a better woman everyday herself. “You can’t tell someone when to be over something” is a quote that K. Michelle has used frequently in interviews. Although she has moved on from her past of domestic violence and abuse she still remains strong on the issue to be a voice and let others know that they are not alone and they can rise above it.

K. Michelle has joined the Saving Our Daughters family which is a nonprofit organization in Atlanta. K. Michelle now joins celebrities such as T.I., KeKe Palmer, Monica, Nia Long, Jill Scott and many more to keep the positivity alive amongst young girls and let them be aware that no matter what obstacles they may come across they can overcome them.
